This Privacy Policy explains how the Pics Picker Android app ("App") handles your information. Our core philosophy is simple: Your photos never leave your device.

Data Collection & Network Activity

We do not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.

• The App operates entirely offline. It does not contain any code to connect to the internet.
• Your photos, videos, and usage patterns remain exclusively on your device.
• We do not include third-party advertising SDKs, crash reporters (like Crashlytics), or analytics trackers in our app.

Media Access & Permissions

To function as a gallery decluttering tool, the App requires permissions to read and alter media files stored on your device. These are requested strictly to enable core features:

• READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_MEDIA_VISUAL_USER_SELECTED (Android 13+): Grants the App access to the photos you choose to sort through.
• READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 12 and below): Required to scan your device for folders containing photos.
• Deletion Requests: The App does not silently delete files. Any photos you mark for deletion in our Review Bin are passed to Android's built-in MediaStore API. The Android operating system will present you with a native confirmation dialog before anything is removed. Deleted files are generally moved to the system Trash for 30 days before permanent automatic erasure, according to standard Android behavior.

Additional Permissions

• VIBRATE: Used solely to provide haptic feedback (small vibrations) when you swipe cards. You can disable this in the App settings.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+): Used exclusively for local reminders if you leave photos pending in the Review Bin. These notifications are generated locally on your device.

Data Retention

Because no data is ever sent to a server, we do not have a data retention or deletion policy. You retain full control over your media. If you uninstall the app, any saved data regarding your "Favorites" list or swiped sessions is removed along with the app's local data footprint.

Changes to this Policy

If we introduce new features that require data collection or network access, we will update this Privacy Policy and request your consent within the App as required by Google Play policies.
